HOW DO I TRANSPORT MY CAKE?

For pick up orders, we recommend that cakes be transported on a flat surface in your vehicle (on the floor) with the air conditioning on.

 

HOW DO I STORE MY CAKE AFTER PICK UP?

We do not recommend leaving your cake out of the refrigerator for more than two hours. Refrigerating your cake after pick up will hold its' moisture. Once your cake is cut, an air-tight container and refrigeration will help ensure that you are able to get the most from your cake.

 

DO YOU DELIVER?

Yes, we do deliver! All wedding cakes MUST be delivered. Any celebration cakes 3 tiers or higher, we strongly recommend delivery. The delivery fee begins at $45. Delivery must be requested with initial request and cannot be added at a later date.

 

CAN I PICK UP MY CAKE?

Absolutely! Cake pick up is available. We encourage pick up to be no more than 2 hours prior to your event. Cakes are packaged to ensure minimal movement during transportation, however unless delivery is organized, we are NOT responsible for any damage made to the cake after the cake has left The Sweet Canvas Co. kitchen.

 

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK MY ORDER?

For wedding cakes, 6-12 months in advance. For party cakes, 6-8 weeks in advance.

 

WHAT IF I WANT TO MAKE A CHANGE TO MY ORDER?

If you need to make a change to your order, please let us know AT LEAST 21 days prior to your pick up date. We allow up to 2 changes from the booking date until 21 days prior to your event date to be made to your order. Adding more cupcakes, flowers, toppers or any decor must be communicated 14 days prior to your event.

 

WHEN DO I PAY FOR MY CAKE?

Total balance must be paid in full 14 days prior to your pick up date.

 

ARE ALL YOUR CAKES BUTTERCREAM?

Yes, all of our cakes are filled and covered with American buttercream or Swiss meringue buttercream. We DO NOT make fondant cakes.

 

WHAT TYPE OF CAKE STYLES DO YOU SPECIALIZE IN?

We love to create abstract, art-based, originally designed cakes. We DO NOT work with Fondant on cakes, only cupcakes. We don't create novelty cakes but, we can do theme cakes. We don't like copying the hard work of others, or a previous design. We prefer to create something new, even if it's a slight variation of a previous cakes. We also don't produce outdated designs. Think of us as the modern cake artist.
